Humminbird Icons

I am a humminbird man, but I have always loved the idea of lowrance that has the icons for the waypoints (brushtop,fish,etc). I was wondering y this wasnt a humminbird thing. Then I was looking at my mapping yesterday and I saw I had a fish icon down as a waypoint. I have no idea how I did this and there was only one. All my other waypoints are blue dots. So does humminbird have the same icons? If so, how the heck u get to them. I have an 859 and 899.

Awesome! I think I got it. Now what I dont know is how I got the fish icon the first time. By accident I guess, from just pushing buttons. lol. But im so glad it has this feature! Love the idea.

Maybe a waypoint you had edited in HBPC ...??

Ricky did you mean customize, as in add my own image or customize as in choose from HB images? I read the page and think it is the later?

You can choose from a list of waypoint icons Redge, not make your own.

LowePro, after you do it for a little while it is really pretty easy. You can "Edit" any waypoint after you make it, on your units or in HumminbirdPC and then reload them. You must not have "SnapShot" ON or you would not be getting the blue dot when you mark a waypoint. Your waypoints numbers are WPxxxx not Sxxxxx?

I have numbers by my blue dots. So i can make a waypoint a fish icon immediately upon making the waypoint. I have a mac. I cannot utilize humminbird pc unfortunately. Which is sad cuz i would really have fun with that. I think there is a way but im computer illiterate. So ima hafta stumble in a windows unit at some point.

LowePro ... Are you meaning you do change the waypoint to a fish icon ...??

Or are you asking how to change the waypoint to a fish icon ... ??

If you want all of your waypoints to show as a fish icon, you can set your 'Bird to do that too or even have the ability to select a different waypoint icon each time that you mark a waypoint (but that means you will have to make additional button presses each time you mark a waypoint). Note that the Screen Snapshot menu has to be off for these or you will just get the default camera icon.
