Hit one to many obstacles, broke the two tabs at the transducer, taped it on the troll motor for now. Debating on buying a new transducer or getting a new unit. Money is a issue. The max to spend would be $150, might be able to squeeze $200.
Have a hbird 141c on the troll motor, a 525 on the console. They are interchangeable, and came with the boat.
I thought about trying to epoxy it back together. Does not look like much to hold together though.
My questions :
1 with the age of the units is it worth it to get a new transducer? I found one for $50 with shipping. Or bank that $50 towards a new unit?
2 Deal with it being taped on?
3 Will I gain anything with a new unit that is less than $200? Compared to what I have?
Fyi : I will definitely be fabricating some sort of shield or protective device to go in front of the unit, regardless of what I do. Lesson learned. Have already found a few ideas, more are welcome

I repaired my transducer by using a 2 part epoxy from advanced auto,,,, I believe it was the plastic repair epoxy by JB weld,,,maybe cost around $8.00. Just use it to bond transducer to bottom of trolling motor,,, I used some plastic ties to assist in holding it where I wanted it and then removed them by snipping whatever was needed to remove,,,Good luck

I had to repair my transducer bracket usign two part epoxy as well. It split right on the mold line where the bolt goes through.
I ended up whittling a bit of the plastic off the catch that holds it in place to make it easier to kick up inthe event I hit something.
Put it back together tonight with jbweld, two part plastic epoxy. Feels pretty rigid. Put a bracket in front of it. Hopefully that will protect it.

I've repaired 'em several times with JB Weld. I am really surprised how well it holds up. I've rebroken one, but have never had a repair come apart.
