Thread: Networking

I have a Lowrance HDS Touch 7 on the console. I want to put a unit of some type up front. What are the advantages to networking. Initially I wanted to more the Touch 7 up front and put a 9 or larger on the console. However funds may not allow that. Found some used HDS 5s and an 8 at a decent price but don't know if that is what I want up front.

Networking will allow you to share waypoints and if they're both Gen2 units they can also share a map between both units.
You can also view info on your bow unit that is coming from your console unit, like side and downscan if you have a LSS ducer connected to your Touch7.
