    I have to buy a transducer for my 898 do I need to buy an hd version or will the Humminbird XTM 9 SI 180 work just as good. Just noticed the non he is quite a bit cheaper. thanks.

    The XTM 9 SI 180 is a trolling motor transducer that is intended for the lower end SI units. You will not get as crisp of images and it is not designed for 800khz.

    If you are looking for a trolling motor mount you will want the XTM 9 HDSI 180 T

    You can probably find it cheaper from one of the board sponsors like BBG marine.
