Thread: RAM Mounts

What are you boys that are running 7" graphs using for mounts on the console and bow? Most people seem to use RAM mounts. What size mounts do you use for this size of graph? And where's a good place to find em a little cheaper!

I just bought a HB 899 and got the Ram-D-111U, 2.25''. Solid! I would not go with a smaller one. Got it on Ebay think around 90 bucks.

The ram website has a function that will match up you size graph to the recommended size, then just have to hunt for the best deal.

I found my Ram-D-111U, 2.25'' mount there for less than $75! It is a good mount for the 899/1199.

i have HDS7 units on the bow and at the console on the 1 1/2 inch Ram mounts. I've never had any problems with them holding solid.

I would say 95% of the time the RAM-111U / 1.5" mount works well on a 7 inch Lowrance HDS or Elite 7 (Around 5-6 lb) unit but the Humminbird 800/900 units are quite a bit larger in total size (Around 8.5 lb.) I would definitely go with the RAM-D-111U-C / 2.25" ball mount. Brian

have a 1 1/2" on my 898 with 4" arm. Rock solid. if you go with longer arm, would go up in ball size.
