hds5x question

i have a lowrance hds5x, i have a trolling motor mount transducer for it but i dont want to put it on the trolling motor, id like to put it on my transom. i would imagine that it wouldnt operate well if i rigged something up to put it on my transom so my question is, is there more than one kind of transducer for this unit, and if so what one would you recomend. i was just to be able to cruise around and find the fish.

This appears to be the one you need. Might go to electronics for sale on Bassboatcentral. Usually have some used ones for sale on there.
83/200 HZ is what you need.
