    I am using a HB 798 CI SI on my console- really like it .........However the unit I have at the model is a 788HD model & I cannot link them so my question is there anything I can add to my 798to make HD?

    Can you use the interlink to link them together? Other than that, no way to make it HD. And I used to have that model. I sold it to get a bigger screen 898 HD. Not much difference in the picture except for the HD mapping. You could get an HD transducer but it doesn't help much. Check BBC Boards in the humminbird section. Lots of info on both of those units

    inter-link will work. I have an older 798 linked to an 898. works fine.
