    Oops, just realized I never commented about connecting both the 2D/SI/DI transducer and a 2D/DI transducer to the ONIXci 8 SI. You would be able to do so but you would need to connect the 2D/DI transducer to a Sonar Module box (SM2000). You would then change which transducer you are using through the unit setup menus.

    So the SM2000 is a switch of sorts...(To switch between 2 xducers connected to ONIX/ION)...??

    Its a sonar module with an Ethernet connection. With multiple transducers connected you can select which you want your ONIX/ION unit to connect to, so for that reason it does act like a switch.

    Well that option is not going to be possible as it adds 699.00 to an already expensive onix. The onix would be my first choice since it will have the ability to upgrade into the future, as this will probable be the last unit I will buy. Thanks
