    Default Transducer Repair

Pinched the wires in my transducer cable (like hogans goat). No problem resoldiering, but was wondering what to do about the foil shielding. Anybody know a good way for repairing and how important is it anyway?? Anyone here in the business of repairing these in a professional way..... if so PM me details. Thanks......Hogan

The blue water guys are very experienced in xducer cable splicing...(because several models of Airmar xducers come stock as a "bare wire" model...to which these guys attach there own specific brand "pigtail" to work with their brand of choice)...

    They use this...

There is a thread on here somewhere that tells how I did the foil splice. I don't fix them anymore 'cause my hands shake like a puppy passing a peach seed.
