Default Lowrance Elite 4 HDI Combo

Does anyone have experience with this unit? It is the one with sonar, down imaging and GPS.

I've got a Elite 4 gps/2d version and like it for the yak and gheenoe, works good, no issues but the chart does not have depth or contour info. The screen is small so not much detail would be visible. I got because it is small and would be easily viewed in the yak.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

    Hello,

Just wondering if you picked up the Elite-4X?

If you did how are you liking it?

I need a FF and am going to go this route as well.

    Regards,

    Lee

Yes I did buy the elite 4. I am still in a learning curve but so far I like it
. GPS and map chip is excellent.
Down imaging is new for me, detail is great.
I wish fish symbols and depth numbers were bigger in sonar mode.

Sounds good. I appreciate the feedback. I wish I could buy a larger display but money talks!! Maybe in the future. I just really believe that they provide the information you need to get onto fish.

    Thanks for the information.

    Regards.
