    Default Lowrance interference

I'm using a Lowrance hds7 wired to its own battery, I do have 2 batteries up front dedicated to my trolling motor so im wondering how im getting interference.

I started noticing this when i hit the fast rabbit button everything clears up

Does anyone have any ideas that i could do to fix this, next time im out i will try to remember to take some pictures of this

    Thanks

Make sure the power wires for the TM and HDS are as far apart as possible, opposite sides of the boat if possible. If the power wires must cross, make 90* angles where they cross to reduce the possibility of interference.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

On that motor, if you have transducer mounted on trolling motor you need to reroute your ducer cable away from any wiring on the trolling motor.

Sorry for being lazy and not noticing that there is a sticky and lots of good info on this site, I still want to thank you for helping

So let me add some more information, maybe this may help someone else

I have a 12v terrova wired with (2) 29 series batteries in parallel, I have my fish finder in the back with its own battery with my transducer as well, the trolling motor and batteries are all up front, I have a 16 ft. boat so everything is separated.

The only thing that ties my batteries toeghter is my 3 bank charger so i ended up taking this off my ff battery and I still see interference

The interference is only noticed when im using my side imaging, when I hit the fast button on my trolling motor remote i see my screen clear up on the ff.

I recently moved my tm battery up front and added the 2nd battery, this is the only thing that has changed

To be honest im not positive if i always had the interference and now im just noticing this

Looking forward to here some more suggestions

Try removing the TM batteries from the 3 bank charger...

If the interference goes away...the RF is being generated somewhere around the charger area...and bleeding into a nearby sonar power cable or xducer cable...

If this is determined to be the area of RF generation...the easy fix would be to have the TM battery charger also up front with the TM batteries...

And then have a separate 1 bank charger in the rear for the unit battery...
