Thread: Lowrance HDS

I have a Lowrance HDS 5. My problem is that lately when I try to switch between the chart page and the sonar page on the screen, it wants to stay on the chart page. If I go to a straight sonar page then I can make adjustments to the sonar, but whenever I go to a split screen, I can’t get back to the sonar menu. It used to work fine, just lately that I have had this problem. As far as I can tell everything else works just like it should.

Anyone else ever run into this?

Might try cleaning the contact points behind the buttons if all possible.

Try a soft reset.

OK, I figured it out. Like usual, operator error.

I was to busy fishing and running the boat to pay attention to what was going on.

I was holding the button down to long. It cycles between the two screens, and I was letting up just a bit to late.
