Honestly Chris, the 'spotlight' is the absolute worst product ever to come out of Lowrance...ever. I think they just had to do something since they didn't have a response to the HB 360 product. And, as far as I know, they still don't.

Here is the next attempt Bob to compare tothe Humminbird 360

Hey Dave, I have not seen or even heard of this new product. I was only commenting on the 'spotlight' and my opinion remains the same, a complete waste of my time and money.
So, what does it take to get the 'structure scan 3D'?

Structure Scan 3D needs a different module ... A different xducer ... And different software ...

It is compatible with the Gen 3 units but have to buy transducer and box (similar to LSS-1,2 boxes). They just released them in December so not much has been said yet review wise but what I've seen looks game changing for finding fish/brush. But of course like all new electronic products, it's not cheap. Retails for $999. I'm anxious to see as more people try it out what people say. There's a couple on the water videos on YouTube you can search for.
