You can sometimes verify an algae or pollen bloom by looking at the 200kHz 2d view...

If it shows ALOT more "clutter" than what you normally see at that same sensitivity setting...it is most likely pollen or algae...

I do like Trout mentioned...move to a different part of the lake...if it clears up...there's nothing wrong with the unit...
