Read outs on humminbird

I think I saw a post a while back where you could move the read outs from the side of the unit to a smaller area at the bottom of the screen on the si view on one of the software versions ,,,anyone know what I am talking about? I have a 898 hd

The only options I am aware of on the 788, 798, 958 and 998 units that I have owned are;
1) The ability to select some of the data that displays to left side of the units (time, temp , gps pos, etc.) The depth always displays. On the 11xx series units the readouts on are the bottom, not the left side.
2) On the 998 in SI only view you can turn the white boxes that surround the readouts info on/off.
3) On all units you can turn options like depth lines, SI lines, etc. on/off
4) You can change the size of the .xx units in the readouts.

I do not know of any version of software that allows for moving the readouts side to bottom or wherever.

According to my HB 587 manual you have to go to the setup menu tab and click on the select readout tab.

I think that you are talking about using the “SI Readouts” menu (found under the Sonar menu tab when the “User Mode” menu is set to the “Advanced” setting). This will make the unit display only the Water Temperature and Depth when on the Si View.

If only they would do something similar on the other views on the 898, I would be thrilled - more real estate for the images.

This has been the number 1 request since the beginning of the HB SI and DI units...

It is listed many times in the HB wish list at sideimagingsoft ...

Why HB has not granted this wish list item ....I have no idea...

Bet they did it on the Onix units this is where they are putting all the new research and technology. I am going to work next week on getting them to do an update or at least explain why they have not. It may be a lot of time for someone to write the program or it may not be possible through an update. I will find out, but maybe Greg will chime in.

The above picture with the readouts on side imaging shows they can implement it on the 898. Just a matter of changing the readouts location, transparency, color, and background for the remaining views. Shoot I can do it in Microsoft Word
