Default getting a new unit couple questions

I am going to be getting a new bird and was wondering how much space is needed for a hdsi transducer. My other question is what do I do with excess cable from the transducer

here is what I am working with

The SI piezoes are as long as the housing is...I'm afraid you may get some blockage...but try it and then post snapshots and we'll go from there...

Coil the excess xducer into about an 8" coil ...then twist the coil into a figure 8 back onto itself...which leaves about a 4" coil...(if you use zipties...DO NOT pull the zipties excessively tight...this can damage the wires inside the cable)...

I see that your bunk boards are out past the end of your boat so make sure that you put the 'ducer far enough away from them that you don't knock it off when loading, that could get expensive.

The HDSi transducer needs about seven inches of clearance between the transom and the lower unit of the motor (or anything else that hangs off the transom). Otherwise you will get some blockage of the Si sonar to that side.
