    I agree with all the above post except the part about the Lakemaster chip......The only thing you loose is the built in follow the contour if you are using Navionics.....and you can create your own track along a contour to accomplish pretty much the same thing......Just another opinion.

    Great info and lot simpler on the batteries than I thought! Just dropped $1400 at grizzly jig on equipment!! Gonna get the 899ci HD SI combo this weekend if I don't here any negative things about it. Lots of research all ready and tons to learn!!! Thanks again

    The connection between the i-Pilot Link and the Humminbird unit is by a cable that comes with the i-Pilot Link.
