    Default ?GPS Speed

Got a question about my GPS speed. Got an 80 Terrova with the remote and 889 Humminbird mounted on the trolling motor. About the speed the 889 reads a fewer tenths less then the remote for the trolling motor, witch one do I need to go by. Thanks

I think we determined that the newer software versions messed up the slow speed GPS reading in the units...

Even tho the issue popped up at the same time the AS GPS HS antenna was incorporated...the minimum software version to run the AS GPS HS antenna seems to be the culprit...

    LittleJohn,
Is this an 899ci HD Si model unit?
What software version is in it now?
Have you tried to update the software to the current 6.860 version?

LittleJohn, my buddy bought a new 898 recently with and also got the external heading sensor puck. First time out his ipilot and gps were off. We went to the humminbird seminar at grizzly and they updated his unit. Next trip out the were in sync.

I've got a 788 and the low speed gps is all over the place. The Ipilot and HDS5 always read the same. I would trust the Ipilot remote reading.
