Keep your eye open on E-bay for a Minnkota Maximizer. They are no longer made but do show up there every once in a while. That will solve your problem.

to convert my 2007 MK All Terrain fctm to a variable speed tm? I can't slow down enough on my lowest speed most of the time, even when fishing into the wind. I assume there is a way to install a different type resistor control but I don't know where to start. thanks for any help.
no matter what I'm doing, I've got hunting or fishing on my mind...

Look in the sponsors and get the number for Jones trolling motor. Call and talk to John. He has a fix for you.

He needs to put the word out if he is selling something. That is a very popular topic.

He has the replacement board for the variable speed motors that can be exchanged into the 5 speed motors. Don't know for sure exactly which motors it will work on. Checked on my neighbors Edge and it can be up dated.
