    Default 1198 ???s

If I'm traveling how hard is it to take the 1198 off the boat while I'm in a hotel?

If you utilize the gimbal mount that the unit sets in simply loosen the two thumb nuts on left and right side, disconnect the cable collector from the back and unplug the cables and you have removed the unit.

If you have a rem mount simply loosen the ram with the hand knob, pop the the top mount off the ram mount, disconnect the cable collector from the back and unplug the cables and you have removed the unit.

Take mine off every time I get out of water in less than a minute. Use first method above, although I have a ram mount as well.

Check out the durasafe locks for the ram mounts and your depth finder.

I take mine off every trip, where I mounted mine it's like a big sail so I don't pull the boat with it in place.
Nice boat, looks like it has plenty of room.
