Thread: elite 7 HDI GPS question

I hope this isn't a repeat question, I have read a great deal of the post and don't recall see the problem. I just purchased the Elite 7 HDI a couple months ago and I love it except for one issue. Even after the 2.0 update the unit looses satellite contact and is search for a new (I'm assuming) WAAS satellite contact. Is this a problem with the Elite series or am I being conned into buying a GPS puck. I would love to think I can change one setting and it would be fixed but I don't think it will be that simple. This really gets my undies in a bunch when I miss a spot I want to mark and the unit is trying to acquire a satellite.

Sounds like a problem with your unit, call Lowrance. Before I put mine on the boat I messed with it inside the house and had no issues with it acquiring what so ever. My prob was with the lag in GPS keeping up while slo trolling and sold it.
