... but, it sounds more like the battery isn't putting out consistent power to keep the unit functioning correctly. At least, that's what I remember from previous discussions about units going offline from battery drain (or low voltage level).

Are you only using one battery to run big motor & trolling motor ... or are both batteries connected to a panel/fuse box/switch box ??? Sounds like you may have some sketchy connections if connected to a panel ... or big motor/trolling motor on one battery could be drawing too much voltage to keep unit receiving the proper amount of juice.
