    blobs is what you see, I have yet to see a di that looks like an arch or fish, I guess some call them rice grains

    from nameless outdoor news forum :
    Fish on the DI and SI look like white dots to blobs depending on their size. Larger fish start to take on an elongated shape that looks more like a fish than a white dot.

    There's been some interesting things going on in the HB website the past several days...

    Some items have been shown and then taken right back off..
    Some pricing has really been a discussion topic starter...(at some of the other forums)...

    This morning ...most (but not all) of the xx8 series and xxx8 series units are listed in the Legacy section...(but still listed in the available sections also)...
    Humminbird Legacy Series

    And the 600 series units are listed...priced but not for sale yet...
    600 Series

    I wouldn't put definite stock in what flies thru the HB website until "official" release info is "released"...(but it's still kinda interesting of the possibilities....)

    Looks to me like HB is going to use this "new model" timing to get a lot of their current models cleaned out into Legacy status...(maybe downsizing model units to spend more time focusing on accessory products...360...iLink...??)

    We shall see...
