    Default HB 2014 units

This is being reported by a very reputable dealer on some of the other forums...

As its not proper to link a dealer in this forum...I will provide the links to the topics being discussed...

    2014 Humminbird GPS/Depthfinder News

And starting at post #10 here...

    http://www.walleyecentral.com/forums...d.php?t=270242

    Quoted from above link...:

As per your guys request to keep you informed, we have new information about the new Humminbird lineup. To start, I would like to let you know that there are no new touch screens coming from Humminbird, or no plans that we were told about, we asked and were told no touch screens next year. With that said, there are going to be new 1100, 900, and 800 series units. All with faster processor speeds and new faceplates and buttons, and internal GPS. They are also discontinuing the 500 and 700 series and introducing the 600 series to take their place. They will also be releasing a KVD 1100 and 900 series units. These units will start to be available in November and slowly work their way into next year sometime. If you have any questions about these, please feel free to give us a call and we would be more than happy to answer any questions that you have.

    UNQUOTE ...

I'm sure "Brian at BBG" and "David at Shut Up and Fish" will be acquiring info soon...

I may have done a BooBoo (of forum etiquette) by posting those links...

If any mod feels it necessary to remove those links...please do...

(I didn't catch my mistake until my "Edit" button was gone...)

I can't wait to see the new faceplate and how the buttons are. I would like to have one more preset button.

HB has nailed it again. That KVD unit will be a huge seller, based on his current domination alone.

Goodbye 700 series, welcome smaller unit. I'm a bit surprised that they would create a unique unit, just for the customer support/repair issues they might have. Odd.

"Goodbye 700 series, welcome smaller unit." I thought maybe he knew something I haven't read.

It's a 5" screen. We DO know that. What we don't know is what features it won't have vs. the current 700 series that will get it down to the low price point. Certainly you will lose something. Just can't wait to see the KVD special edition. I have no doubt it's going to change the way we fish.
