Does Lowrance have a program for viewing, editing, etc waypoints? Something similar to Garmin Mapsource or Humminbird PC?

You mean something like this, Don ??? EasyGPS - FREE GPS Software for your Garmin, Magellan, or Lowrance GPS
Let me know if this works for you, then I might download it to play with, myself

Don .... never mind on telling me if it would work, or not, as my E5DSI unit is not even listed in the compatibles chart. HDS-7 is listed as compatible, though !!!

Yes Don click on the link above its called Insight Planner & they sell it for $29.95 on their store if you look around on their store they also have new map cards that you can get at least two free updates on you computer.
Oh by the way I attended a lecture at local fish club yesterday and the fish guy talks & teaches Lowrance products and also tests out new Lowrance equipment. He sat at a table and entered info into his i-pad that was cable wired to a Lowrance wi-fi box and then to two HDS units and a 44 in TV so we could all see on the Tv what menus etc. he was changing on the units. He apologized for having to hard wire(use of cable) from the Wi-fi box as he forgot to bring a part but said with this wi-fi box he can/has controlled two HDSunits with his ipad from a ways away from the units. Yes this WI-Fi box is being tested/debugged but it means pretty soon(year or 2?) we will be able to run units via wi-Fi no cables.
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.....
