I am trying to find the easiest to use handheld gps. All I want to do is mark my piles and then be able to find them. Technology has long ago surpassed me, so it must be simple. If you have one that works, has instructions and willing to sell. Let me know that also. Thanks in advance. Wes

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

The etrex has only a few buttons and I have a friend who finds brush piles all day long with his. I'm with Gomer Snerd on the triangulation. I usually triangulate off of a big oak tree on the bank and the gps in my hand. Seems to be extemely accurate.

I think if your going.g to get one.buy one that has a map page.the base map that comes with the gps is good enough. By just looking at the map will keep everything in perspective. By doing this you won't have to do much more than look at the map to see wapoints close to you, then just navigate to the o.e you choose.

bid on this... I have one... my first one and used it for years. I like the nav. page ....Just keep the arrow pointed at center on the top you will run right over the w-point. Just make sure you have a good accuracy number (9-14 ft) when you mark the brush.
