    Theres a update for my 998 its v 6.680 how can I tell what it is and if its worth updating my unit thanks

    Log into your HB account and click on the button for your unit model...

    The first window that opens will have another section labeled "Description"...

    Copy and paste the URL into your browser address bar... (do NOT copy the period at the end of the URL...that's the period for the sentence not part of the URL)...

    When the description opens...copy and paste the entire description into a Word or Notepad document and save it on your PC somewhere for future reference...

    (I have a folder on my desktop with a copy of all software version releases for my unit along with the description of what each version entails...some version releases I have never loaded into my unit...but I have them if I ever need them...)

    Depends on what version you have right now.......Most people are avoiding the latest updates unless you need it for the 360 or the I-pilot link.

    If you are happy with the performance, I wouldn't update to a new software until several users have posted that it's good to go. Better safe then sorry.
