Also the way the Po'Dunk is mounted on my boat the trolling moter skeg will hit long before the transducer unless I go in at a radically stupid angle and I would never do that.

Unless your in in 4 foot of water and there is a 3 foot talk rock or stump that lines up with your transducer and totally misses your trolling motor. But its a good thought. It the top bolt was a really soft grade 3 or less bolt and a smaller one so if you hit something hard it would shear. but good idea mounty on the backside gives it a chance to kick up
