I'd never ask anyone for their waypoints, now if they would like to help me out that's fine, if not I enjoy looking around for my own spots because it's a way to learn different lakes and what kind of structure the fish prefer.

This is not a poll because I want multiple responses from multiple people on multiple angles of thought.
How much would you pay for way points to structure on a lake?
How much would you pay for a certain kind of structure on a lake?
Would you pay for any kind of way point on a lake?
These questions are for my personal thoughts only. I do not represent any company in any way. The thought just hit me after reading some threads and researching some chart web sites. Contours are great, but time + fuel = a great expense. Not to mention effort to actually place certain structures on legal bodies of water. Just a thought that I am sure will spark a multitude of responses and thoughts.
If this does turn profitable for someone, I appreciate the forthcoming...........................well you know

Probably wouldn't pay, we do trade a lot on different lakes in Oklahoma. I'll give a guy my home lake WP and he'll give me his home lake WP. Makes it easier on both of us. Part of the fun is finding the stuff in the first place for me. Another thing is that a lot of our stuff gets washed away, so unless they are really current WP it may not pan out. Certainly not trying to discourage you just my humble opinion. Wannabe makes a good point, most times I offer up my WP's and the other guy will reciprocate, I also wouldn't seriously ask someone for their WP's.
Shine there is a fellow over here had made up some Waypoints cards on the big four that has all kinds of structure from stake beds to stumps and manmade structure marked. Hundreds of spots on each one. He actually spent hours wading in the winter when lakes were down to mark spots with a hand held unit. Sold them for 50.00 ea. Don't know if it was profitable for him or not. Never had a GPS until a couple of weeks ago but going to get some if he still has them.

Waypoints ain't worth a crap if they don't have fish on the spot.

I think 90% of the fun of crappie fishn or any fishn is the hunt, I don't have to catch fish every trip, I'm out there for the hunt and for the atmosphere also to make friends, the catching of fish is the bonus of my trip Ill spend what ever it takes to get to go, .... and no Im not rich as a matter of a fact I'm out of work because of the rain .. I have a job just cant do it on account of the rain and got 75$ in the bank lol .... but I will try to fish when I can and have fuel for the old truck and boat ............. its all in the chase just like when I was a kid chasing the ladies ...... when you worry about the cost the fun goes out the window
so no I would not sell or buy waypoints
A friend asked me the other day if I wanted his waypoints...
I told him I could find them myself ...now that SI uncovers all secrets...
Technology has spoiled me...

I also use side looking to verify old waypoints. Many moons ago, I marked with 2d. Lots of these WPs were probably bait fish hugging the lake bottom.

Most on Enid will collect and trade . None hard up enough to buy.
