    Default 997Si problem losing GPS connection


    I'm having a lot of problems with my HB997 Si cutting out and droping the GPS connection and I have to shut down and power up to reconnect and this happened several times today on the water? Anything I can do to fix this ? Ferdi

    You might try bending the pins in the cable connector end "slightly"...

    I've had that same problem with my 1197...

    If you can't wiggle the connector and it connect ..the puck may be going out...

    Is there someone that can test their unit on your GPS puck...??

    Sounds like your puck is going out...this just happened to me about two weeks ago. Put a new puck on the problem is fixed.

    BTW...HB said you can have the pucks re-furbished.

    or maybe your connector has broken wires inside it. Mine did and I had to get a splitter cable just to get new ends.
