Snapshots and recordings are never "saved to" nor "imported into" the unit memory...
They are recorded directly to the card during snaphsot or recording...
And then they are read directly from card (in the unit that the card is inserted in..)

Looking to transfer snap shots from a 898 to a 798...everything else has transferred...waypoints,tracs...but no snap shots...a little circle with a red line through it shows up....

Rickie is right about where the snapshots are saved but you will not be able to transfer them from an 898 unit to a 798 unit due to the difference in the pixel count of the displays. This makes the snapshot picture have a different resolution which the other unit cannot display. You can only transfer snapshots between units that have the same display pixel count.

Thanks Greg...
I know about the snap shots saving to the card.....been running Humminbirds for 5 season's now...not a problem there ...my buddy's have different unit's than I ..and I can't share snap shot's with them...it's one thing to share a spot ..it's cool for them to have an idea of what's there before trying to find it...also have a friend with a Humminbird (depth/gps)w/o sideimaging...and it does the same thing..will show or grab the waypoint's and trac's..no snap shot's...
I even had a snafu where the snap shot's and waypopints and tracs were saved on the map card(not supposed to do that...) but the unit did it anyway...customer service fiqured that one out for us...
