HB 597 help please

I got a 597 combo with down imaging. I am new to this higher end stuff. Been using cheap ones for years. I need some good settings for regular sonar and the di I keep mine on split screen to try and learn the regular sonar better. Also I can't navigate back to a waypoint to save my life. Is there some kind of online class or simulator I can play with to help learn this unit ?

Post a few screen snapshots of what you are seeing on the DI and 2D sonar. We can suggest menu setting changes.
Where is the 597ci HD DI’s transducer mounted?
What speeds are you suing this unit at?
What water depths?

For the GPS, I like to run with the Continuous Navigation Mode menu set to “On”.

I will post pics next time I'm out on water. Hopefully this wknd. My transducer is mounted on the back of boat. Speed is usually 1 mph when long line trolling I seem to be looking at the unit more than my poles bc I'm so eager to learn it. I watch it all the time I'm not sure we're my continuous navigation is set at. Will have to check. I just figured out that I had to have course set to up. Instead of north up. That took me 6 months to figure out. I'm very frustrated with it
