Thread: 597 & 587 Export Waypoints

What software version are you running in each unit? My guess is that one is running the newer waypoint management software and the other is not. Not sure which you got to work so here are the directions for each:

To export waypoints on a pre-waypoint management unit:
- Press MENU button twice and go to the Nav menu tab.
- Scroll down to the “Export All Nav Data” menu and activate it by using the Right Arrow.

To export waypoints on a waypoint management unit:
- Press the MENU button twice and go to the “Waypoints, Routes, tracks” menu.
- Open this menu by using the Right Arrow.
- Scroll up to “Options” and open it using the Right Arrow.
- Select “Select All and…” and use the Right Arrow to open this submenu.
- Select “Export” and use the Right Arrow to activate this menu.

To import waypoints on a pre-waypoint management unit:
- The memory card can be installed before or after the unit is powered on.

To import waypoints on a waypoint management unit:
- The memory card has to be installed after the unit is powered on.
