Default Cane Pole ? on route follower.

    Cane Pole,
I have riptide SP (Power drive) and I do not have/want foot pedal option only want to add route follower. Could I just add a DPDT switch to the steering motor input connected to output of route follower and i pilot steering output? Then switch between the 2 for steering control and use i pilot remote for speed in both cases.

    Regards,
    Jim

    Yes. That will work.

I can control speed with either foot pedal or Ipilot remote with this box. I designed the circuit to have both capabilities.

I am ready to test. Just need some calm weather so I can log some intelligent data. Data logging needs to be done on a calm day so the navigation patterns are more predictable and smooth. I am rerouting some wires and dressing wires with sheathing while I wait for better weather. Too cold and windy here at present to do too much of anything.
