    Default Installing cable sheath....

Got tired of hands getting cut with cable ties, so I placed my transducer cables (2D AND DI) in a sheath. A real pain, but it sure looks good and not stiff like the spiral wrap. Guess I will dress up the rest of my cables. Spare my bleeding on the carpet (hopefully).

Also installed my autopilot/Ipilot/foot pedal selector box. It tested out good. Making progress. Waiting on a couple of parts to finish.

    Boat is washed and waxed.

    I been a busy boy.

What is the "sheath" and where do I get it...??

I'm just not really satisfied with the spiral wrap myself..

    Tom,
Don’t you think that the metal version of that sheathing could be used to help with RF interference if it were grounded? Basically you are creating a faraday cage around the cables.

Yes, I believe it would work fine. I might put it around my TM power cable. I have used it before on industrial robots.

    That's an interesting idea Greg...

Do you think the GPS cable and xducer cable connectors could be fed thru the 1/2" stainless version...

(I think that type of wire sheath gets a little bigger in inside dimension if its compressed....maybe enough for the connector)..

I don't think that you will get those connectors through there Rickie but they may make this in a larger size that would fit the cables...

Would this sheath need to be grounded to create the benefit effect you speak of...??
