Looking really hard at the Elite 7, but I am a bit confused by the models I am seeing. This site, http://www.universalmania.com/search...wrance+elite-7 , shows 9 different models. I know that one is GPS only, some have no transducer and that the gold packages come with navionics chips, but what about the chartplotter/fishfinder combo and the sounder models? Anyone have any idea?
Chris

HI Chris, I too am interested in the Elite 7. I think the one for $699 has the 83/200-455/80 transducer. The 50/200 is $100 dollars more. The Elite 7x has no GPS, therefore no speed reading. These units also can be bought w/o transducers.I sent an e-mail to Transduser Shield Saver Co. and they are working on a trolling motor transducer protector for the Elite 7 as we are talking. I have a HDS 7 Gen 2 that i will probably be removing . Works great , I just don't want to go through the Structure Scan installation nightmare and cost. when I can get DI ,plus bigger screen with the new unit.Talk to Bryan at BB&C on this board and I feel he can beat these prices.Hope this info is correct and will help.... good luck... Jim
