Default Do I need two cards?

If I have 2 HDS's linked together. Do I need a mapping card in each unit? Or will a card in the main HDS show on both units at the same time?

Yes you'll need two cards, they won't transfer mapping, but they will show waypoints. When you save a waypoint on one unit, it will save it to all units tied together via ethernet cable.

You'd think it would be possible to share this info given ethernet and proximity, but I don't believe there is a brand that does it. More money for the card makers though. LOL.

I run the insight HD and I'm happy with it for my lakes. It has better shaded relief then the insight on the units. Tighter zoom while keeping shaded relief. It helps me run new areas and stay in the channel.
