Just bought the 858 HD SI for the front of the boat, haven't had time to get it installed yet, but going to work on that this weekend, give Brian a call at BBG marine.. He's a good guy to deal with.

I have a 998 at console and a 858 HD di on tm...love the setup. I can share the waypoints between the two, and I love the di on tm. I get very good images with it. I was afraid of getting very "weird" SI while rotating tm, so I went this route. Got a lot more screen size for the money, and dedicated di. I posted a screenshot or two in the SI/di images forum of some images I have gotten with my 858. I used a transducer shield and saver to mount the di transducer to tm, love it. Quick, easy, and secure. Used a ram mount to raise it up a little, wish I would have raised it higher. If I can answer any specifics for you, just ask. But I highly recommend the 858 HD di for tm!
