Portable Fish Finder reccomendation

What seems to be best for a finder to move from boat to boat? I need something dependable. Any thoughts........? Thanks

Are you planning to move the unit only from boat-to-boat or are you planning to move the unit, power source, transducer and GPS Receiver at the same time?

Is there a price range you are looking for?

Color display or monochrome (black and white) display?

GPS or not?

Any sonar preferences?

Was hoping to find something that was pretty much self contained. I will be using this on a rental boat, as a second on my primary boat, and then on a 2 man pond hopper. Price wise $300 max. Side imaging would be a +. Color isn't a requirement. GPS would be nice.

A side Imaging unit would be out of your price range. Other than that you still have many that you could choose from. I would recommend that you check with the board sponsors as they should be able to beat the MSRP pricing shown below:
