the as gps hs seems to work pritty good. i marked a waypiont and trolled to it at speeds of 0.01 to 0.02 then i would come to complete stop then i ease along again. youall like it.

In my mind, all indications are "indicating" this tool will satisfy (or at least benefit) slow trollers...

There's a lot more to slow trolling than just "forward movement of the boat at slow speeds"...

I will put together an "on the water" test to try and cover all aspects of slow trolling and/or spider rigging....

The problem with the HB Donut has never been about the "Donut"....it has always been about the "lack of boat direction/heading/course information" provided to the user at "slow trolling" speeds....

All 3 of those are different in their own respect when applied to slow trolling /spider rigging...

    I have high hopes....

To put it simply, the spinning charts make me dizzy.

I'm glad you brought this up Stymie...

I always use my chart views in "North Up" to prevent the chart from spinning at slow speed...

Your reminder will "remind" me to test "Course Up" with the new AS GPS HS antenna...

Ricky add heading up to the test to see how steady the chart is. Course reading will always come from the gps, what should happen if backing up is the boat icon would be pointing forward and backing up to waypoint.

    I agree Jim...

All indications I have so far is that your scenario is exactly how it will work...(drifting backwards the boat icon should continue to point toward the bow but move backward on the chart)
