stymie, i tried both the north up and course up. the the north up f**** me up. i couldnt steer back to the waypiont.changed to course up,thats nice and really easy for me to navigate to the way point. the screen doesnot spin at speeds under 0.06 or even while at dead still. that wacky steering thats in that picture was when i was using the north up then towards the end i had changed to course up![]()
Man i'd like to have one those antenna.....but i heard they where 2,000 dollars .......lol..................looks good
I could not find pitch and roll anywhere in the gps-hs or 360 manual. I assume you found those looking through digital read out menu?
If you are using North up, try splitting the screen with the compass and use GOTO. Just follow the arrow. The arrow knows. Takes you to what you select. Don't cut across land though.
Remember Red Right Returning.(RRR) The red buoy is on the extreme right of the channel when going upstream. When returning, keep to the right of the red markers. Lernt this in the Navy.

Also, if you have specific waypoints that you like to troll in certain areas, make a route ( or several routes) from the waypoints then do a GOTO route function. Works pretty good. Forgot to mention this feature. Try it. I am not sure of Humminbird, but HDS allows you to track from start or track from end of the specified route. Ain't used a HB in some time and can't remember. If you are using HDS, highlight the compass page so to keep GOTO and CANCEL on display.
Fill me in, Might but another HB if this donut fix is in.
