    instructions say within 1 ft of each other. I am going to switch places with the ducers and see if that changes anything. If 2d was in the way i would think it would do it all the time. Most of the time it works perfect.

    I had the same problem for months until I asked Dr. Sonar for help. He said take ss/ds out out of auto range and that solved my problem.
