    If I put a SI TD on my TM and turn it to the right or left will it look/show ahead of the boat; thus being a 360 unit?

    Here is a pic of Vik3 doing just that...sort of...
    (His is a DI shot but it is still a thin slice sonar beam and it is made by a rotating apparatus he built to stick thru the ice and scan left to right)...

    It won’t be a 360 Imaging unit per se, but it will be able to show what is to the right, left, in front of or what was behind the boat. I like to set the unit to display one side only (Example: left side only) and then turn the trolling motor and use the Left Si beam as a searchlight to scan ahead for stumps, rocks or whatever. Great for scanning structure to try and see fish too.

    That's what I do, i'm not going to give 2000 dollars for something like a 360 when my si on the trollling motor will work just fine.
