    I understand bearing. If you sight your compass on a target, that is the bearing. I just never see it mentioned in the manuals.

    I just checked several different operations manuals and bearing is in every one of them. I don’t know if it has always been in there (older versions may or may not have had it).

    Yep. Bearing in the sense that is being used by GPS is in question. Can't remember.
