    But not all will experience trolling motor interference. It really gets back to the individual boat and its wiring, plus the trolling motor. You may or may not experience trolling motor interference.

    I just started running this unit this season on my ice trips. VERY happy with its sonar and GPS performance so far.

    You can see how it performs in these articles. They are associated with ice fishing, of course, but they will give you a lot of insights into the capabilities of the unit.

    ive got the 597hd/di. mounted on motorguide trolling motor. i like this unit. it does a real good job. i do have some interference on the 800khz di part, but not to bad . i use chokes on the trolling motor cable just past the foot pedal,( keep the transducer wire as far from the pulse modulator rheostat thingy on the foot pedal as possible ) and have ground wire from negative unit to skeg of trolling motor.look at this picture, in the far right,maybe the last couple of inches. look at the bottom returns . theres the interference that i get
