I have a Lowrance skimmer transducer mounted on my trolling for my HDS 7 using a transducer shield, and it works great. I am thinking about buying a structurescan hd. If I mount it on the transom I think the outboard motor will be in the way.I am wondering about mounting on the bow.If I mount it on the trolling motor , I would have to buy a pod transducer and a transducer shield at a cost of $325 How about a portable transducer bracket from Cabelas or a Humminbird 110 bracket. I understand it has to be close to the regular transducer What kind of problems will I have?Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any input.
