Yes I replaced the batteries and all works by the remote but the trolling motor. When I put the wires that goes to the motor from the outsource on the board to the to the in-source I used the remote to turn on the motor. The motor ran at full speed, this is the reason I thought the board is bad.
I do have the old remote.
The control uses the same signal wires from the Ipilot or foot pedal, thus eliminating the control board as the problem of the TM speed control. Can you borrow a remote from someone to test it out? You would have to "learn" the loaner remote. Also, check your circular connector from the Ipilot for corrosion. The pins are gold flash, but they can corrode or tarnish. However, this would probably not cause the speed problem.
