    Default I pilot prices

will the cost come down on the ipolit since the ipolit link is coming out, and is the link really going to be worth the extra cash?

I am guessing it won't come down, however I could be wrong. I view the link as an upgrade to ipilot.

I am really wanting to get a 80lb i pilot, but I have a side image humminbird at the front and it becomes useless with the terrova built in transducer and I dont know how well the set up would work putting the si transducer on the terrova and attaching the cable to the shaft with the way the ipilot deploys and stores. I have a 70lb edge that works fine, but there are times when one speed wont move you into the wind and the next is to fast. I would like the speed settings of the terrova and the remote to use when you have two people in the front spider rigging.

I don't have the SI unit on my Terrova but I believe the issue is the transducer mounted on the TM whether it is the built in one or an external mount. The problem as I understand it is the transducer moving around on the motor distorts the image. I think it works OK on the DI but not the SI.
Someone correct me it I am wrong, but I think that is the issue. What you have to do is mount the SI transducer on an independant stable mount on the front of the boat. There have been a few post of how to rig that up.
    Hope this helps.

You can run the transducer cable through the shaft (groove on the side of the shaft)of the Terrova but like SeaRay says, you have to mount the Si transducer elsewhere.

I have a 597 HDdi on the front and ran my transducer cable through the groove in the shaft, through the TM mount, and attached the 597 transducer to the TM. But the SI won't work properly on the TM because of the TM moving all the time.

Dncncwboy61 I just installed a 597 hd di unit on my I pilot and had a lot of rf interference I had to run some ground wires to get picture better seems to be good now I was wondering did you have any interference with your unit and what did you do to get a good picture. Thanks

I don't think it's an upgrade but an all new unit since it adds humminbird ethernet connection.

I wish I had side imaging on my terrova ( use it as a poor mans 360*) by turning trolling motor to look under docks or even in front of you if you want
