I would be very surprised if you bought the Terrova 80lb and were disappointed. You've read more than I have, no doubt. I have met folks that didn't like the PD system, 2 in fact. Both were very set in their ways and really didn't want to go thru the learning curve. I have a 17'8" bass boat and the smaller 24volt TM would almost hold me in place when alone, even in a gusting wind, but the motor was running full out. I have a 70lb Riptide that keeps it where I want it and generates 2.8 mph gps when alone. It's money well spent. Hardest part is getting the price past the book keeper. That motor and medium level side image and you're good for quite some time to come.
