Co-pilot allows you to control the TM remotely. Auto pilot allows to to set the TM to stay on the direction you are going. I-pilot allows you to do all that plus a lot more.

IPilot is the only way to go if you are starting from scratch. Auto pilot uses a compass heading to keep your heading, like BILL said Copilot gives you remote control. Ipilot gives yo remote control gives you a anchor function that will hold you close to your spot with GPS. It gives you auto pilot function with compass heading and advanced auto pilot gives you a heading with GPS course. It gives you record a track where you can record and then track back down the same track. It also gives you cruise control, get going at the speed you want set cruise and it will use GPS speed reading to control motor speed. I spider rig mostly and when i start out i set speed then pick a spot on the bank turn head that direction and put it on auto pilot then turn on record a track. that way if i run into fish i can go on down a ways, turn and cancel record, hit the start button and it will find that track and start back to the point where you started your recording. if you hit fish again when you get to end of track just hit the end button and it will take you back to the spot where you ended your recording. If i run a track for awhile and dont pick up anything i will turn off the record then start another record by holding down the record button until it stops flashing and it will record over the old track. Long explination but hope it helps you in understanding how Ipilot can really help.
